June 30, 2018 – Camp Mack
The Third Bartow Ford – Toho Marine Elite Pro Team Trail Fishing Tournament was held this past Saturday, June 30th out of Camp Mack. In the early morning hours, 81 teams set out in search of bringing back the largest sack to hit the scales at weigh-in. Charlie, Cindy, and Kim opened the scales at 2:30p.m. earlier than usual due to inclement weather in the area. Some boaters returned early due to either the afternoon storms or lack of bagging a limit. 32 teams did not even make an appearance at the scales. The lowest limit weighed in was 7.97 pounds, but they all received their points towards the Team of the Year Standings for participating. The bad weather even caused our check in boat volunteer to be a little late coming across the lake; he and others were stuck over at Overstreet Landing. With that said, we did have a few chips that didn’t get returned to the board, so if you have one in your possession please bring it with you next tournament.
Let’s talk overall weights!!!
Winning the top prize for the second time this series was the team of Austin Schroeder and Chad Schroeder. They slapped a whopping 32.12 pounds down on the scales, picked up 200 Team points along with a check for $6405. They walked away with a $990 payout and Trevor and Will were the recipients of the $500 Bartow Ford bonus for being the team finishing the highest at the tournament that is driving a new ford from Bartow Ford!!! They both actually are new owners, therefore had to split that $500. Fourth Place went to Eric Conant and Mike Foster with 30.30 pounds for $715.
