June 16, 2018 – Lake Toho/Southport
We are more than halfway thru the Toho Marine Elite One Man Series season with 5 tournaments in the books. Early in the morning on June 16th, 40 Anglers launched out of the Southport Ramp in search of a big sack to take back to the scales and to hopefully earn some precious Angler of the Year points. Over $3000 was up for grabs with 7 spots guaranteed a check. A grand total of 600 pounds of bass crossed the scale that day. Here are the results after a long hot day on the water.
Logan Murphy was this month’s big winner with a 5 fish limit of 26.76 pounds earning him $1350 and 200 Angler of the Year points. Congratulations on the win and moving into the lead with points. Second Place went to Jesse Tacorante for his limit of 25.60 pounds that included an 11 pound Lake Kissimmee PIG and a Florida Trophy Catch Entry. Jesse’s winnings were $540 for his placement and a bonus of $360 for landing the Big Bass of the day. Not far behind for Third Place was David Howell with 25.03 pounds. David caught a limit and had a 1/2 pound deduction for a dead fish at weigh-in. He also had a sweet 9.55 Florida Trophy Catch as well. He went home with $405 for Third Place and an extra $180 in his pocket for having the Second Big Bass of the day. Fourth Place went to Mason Boylan. This was Mason’s first time fishing the One Man Series this year. He walked away with a check in his pocket for the 24.76 pounds he brought to the scales after a 1/2 pound deduction for a dead fish. Fifth went to Anthony Pepe
with 24.55 pounds. Sixth Place was claimed by Jim Watkins (JW) with 22.35 pounds. And jumping in the final payout spot with his 21.99 pound bag was Kim Hebb. Receiving the Enigma Fishing Rod for being first out of the money was Jerry Darter in Eight Place.
